On an afternoon of high emotion The Reds secured the win to give outgoing Director of Rugby, David Penberthy, the send-off everyone at the Club wanted for his last home game in charge.

A young and inexperienced Redruth side gave their all in David Penberthy’s last match in charge and were just five points behind going into the final quarter but were beaten by a very good Shelford side who ran in five tries.

Hull Ionians match with Otley was an entertaining 11 try encounter produced through some excellent rugby by both teams. While Hull Ionians comfortably won the first half 33-18 and finally scored 6 tries to Otley’s 5 it was not enough to win.
Harrogate won this pulsatingly tight match with a converted try on full time. At that time, Otley were 38-34 down at Hull Ionians but Harrogate’s survival celebrations proved to be premature.
Hull Ionians coaching duo of Gary Pearce and Simon Jenkins were delighted with their team performance that beat local rivals Hull and also ensured league safety.

The explosive start produced by Nuneaton, two tries within the opening six minutes, must have delighted sponsors TNT but by the end it was Ionians who had parcelled up victory and delivered the precious points that take them closer to N2N safety.

2nd placed Dale looked to secure their shot at a promotion into National 2 North with the return of the seasons first fixture at Waterloo.
Stockport’s journey to Otley gave them two bonus points but not the win they wanted. The game was an exciting 59 points feast, exciting for the impartial spectator but agonising for two sets of supporters.
A good, workmanlike win away at play off chasing Chester RFC, cemented a highly successful season.
